I was there about two weeks ago, and fires were okay. The sign on the way out to the campground said the fire danger was low. I would think fires are still not a problem.
As of June 2022 there is a fire ban at all Sequoia National Forest Campsites under 5000' elevation which includes Wishon Campground and Cabin. Propane stoves and fire rings with on/off switches are allowed! This ban will likely last through 2022 or until significant rainfall returns to the area.
Yes, they were allowing fires when we camped there this weekend/April. You are supposed to watch a quick video online to get "permitted."
