If you are looking for those really big Sequoia's, we didn't see any of those at Coy Flat campground. The ranger said they were at much higher elevations. As far as the temps at night, it started getting cold somewhere between 3am-4am. Maybe low 60s this past weekend. Keep in mind too, there are no campfires allowed at this campground due to the fire season. You can bring a portable fire pit w/propane though if you have one.
Propane fire pits ARE allowed. I was there all last week with one. Verified with camp host before use, and called the local ranger station to verify as well.
When we went a few weeks ago we took 2 of our dogs. And half the campground had dogs as well, rangers didnt mind. Never saw a rule against it.
There are fires allowed in the fire pits. I couldn't find any plumbed water. But there are creeks on the road down to the site.
Yes
