No water no fires . Just wish the website would have gave us a heads up We stayed in 1-4 campsites, no River access like the pictures Snakes around the campground and deers to swim and fish you have to drive 12-16 miles down to poza, cliff diving river, lower coffee picnic area but the best place to go is before the bridge

Questions & Answers

Is there Sequoia trees nearby? Is it cold at night?

Michael Sullivan | Oct 1, 2020

If you are looking for those really big Sequoia's, we didn't see any of those at Coy Flat campground. The ranger said they were at much higher elevations. As far as the temps at night, it started getting cold somewhere between 3am-4am. Maybe low 60s this past weekend. Keep in mind too, there are no campfires allowed at this campground due to the fire season. You can bring a portable fire pit w/propane though if you have one.

Propane fire pits ARE allowed. I was there all last week with one. Verified with camp host before use, and called the local ranger station to verify as well.

When we went a few weeks ago we took 2 of our dogs. And half the campground had dogs as well, rangers didnt mind. Never saw a rule against it.

There are fires allowed in the fire pits. I couldn't find any plumbed water. But there are creeks on the road down to the site.

Can I camp here without an rv? Tent only?
