We have a Samsung Flat screen TV, won't turn it on and the red light is not on either. Tested the power cord and outlet, they both worked fine. Tried the soft reset and didn't work. What would be the cause and is expensive to fix it? Thanks,

3 reasons the red light may not be on. Bad power supply, bad main board or the set is already on and won't respond because the LED backlights have failed triggering an internal error. Because of the wide range of possible causes I can not guess at cost but the repair estimate is free. I would have to look at the unit before I could give it but almost certainly much cheaper than replacing it with a new set. That's the good news, the bad news is that we are completely covered up with work and if you brought the set in today it would likely be 3 weeks before I could actually look at it. If you have another set you can watch while waiting we are by far both the best and the most reasonable on repair costs. If you are unable to wait that long I understand and wish you the best luck. For Cherika: You have cracked the LCD panel and I'm sorry to have to tell you that the cost of replacing the panel (if we can get it at all) far exceeds the cost of replacing your set with a new one.
