I was a veterinary technician for 10 yrs in the military and you can bring any pet not considered a danger or health risk to the troops on base in your POV... for future readers keep that in mind if your best friend is a pit bull... and also POV = privately owned vehicle....hope this helps.
Call the visitor's center ahead of time so that you are prepared with any documentation/records that may be required.
I'm not an expert but I wouldn't trust any of these answers why don't you call the gate itself and ask them the question as the people at the security gate to gain entrance that gives visitor passes every situation is different just like those people said we were in the house well they had reasons to rent a house so therefore they're probably able to do whatever and most of the time your dogs have to have paperwork when you enter any place like that to know that I have their rabies shots or vaccine shots to not spread something across the whole base to other dogs or animals are rabies or whatever so their situations all different I wouldn't trust anybody except the people at the base themself telling you these answers
Yes, I brought my dog with me when I went to ft Bragg, but I had to tell them in advance because we were renting a house on base.
Yes
Yes because you are only visiting and as long the doggie isn't on the Banned list.
Can army veterans eat in the mess all
Yes you can.
Call the base in advance and make sure you take down names.
I travel to the base for business, and I always bring my 50lb labraheeler with me. The guards at the shack see her in the vehicle and allow me inside the gates. It shouldn't be a problem, but many military bases have a "banned breed", which might include rottweilers, pit bulls, chow chows, etc. I agree you should call the visitor center first.
Call the visitors center first to confirm that it will be okay to do so. Overall it should be okay as long as the pet doesn't cause problems. :)
Depends on who are in base and front gate to tell the truth Just call visitor center first
