No free and BEAUTIFUL lots of Wildlife. If you go to Bonneau Ferry it is free also it's part of Francis Marion. I have some old homes there and lots of Wild Hogs Deer and turkeys.

Love this Forest. Mountain Biking ,Hiking , dispersed primitive camping, But finding this past several times at Halfway creek Homeless folks. Same people camping in the same spots with same gear. 14 day stay not inforced there I guess?
