We went on a Saturday and the Alice Neel line was less then five minutes for us. If you get a membership then you can avoid the outside line as well... membership check-in is also quick.

You can buy the tickets online, and indoor there is a line to see Alice Neel exhibition but it goes quickly

There will be a line outside to enter the museum, a much smaller a faster moving one to access the exhibit
