They have alot of dogs. Sorry about ur dog. Do you have kids? I know they have alot of dogs that are not kid friendly
When I adopted my little one in 2017 , I needed 2 to 3 personal references I believe and the past history of your last dog's veterinarian, so that they I believe can give you the reference of you bringing your last dog. Also they have a questionnaire to fill out and of course the adoption fee and then they send your pet to their vets to get neutered or spayed and then you pick them up at the Vets and you have to also pay the vet. Also they will need a copy of your lease stating you can have a pet and if there is any size requirements also they will I believe require you to meet with the pet that you want to make sure that you are a good fit for that pet we were lucky enough to find a little boy that picked us we were trying to look at some of the other ones but didn't really seem like a good fit because they weren't even coming up to us too my little boy picked us also anybody that will be in the home living there will have to go with you so that the pet can get to know them also.
