Its very close the the Nationals. Very safe area, even at night.
Canal park is just about two to three blocks away from the hotel. The smaller version of it is directly across the street from the Marriott . There's a dog park, fountains and a restaurant that's coming soon. Yet the larger Canal Park with all of the fountains and wading pool is just a few blocks away. Closer to more restaurants like Osteria Morini and so many others. It's beautiful.
Not sure which park, but walking in the are on main streets seems safe enough
If you mean Nationals Park, yes. You can practically see it from the front door of the hotel.
Safe walking area in the day. At night its ok Not sure what park you referring to. There are many small parks in the area.
