They are out all the time, the reptile house is a must and weather won't matter
You can go anytime and plan to spend the day. You will see many animals and have a great time.
You will mostly see animals that are naturally in a more Chilly climate

Early spring is a good time. The giraffes were very friendly. My family loved it
I think that your better waiting to spring to go to the zoo. I was there and i really didn't see much. Birds,1 🐯, zebra, and snacks. So yes i think you will see more in warmer weather.
I have read somewhere this would be the case. But not sure of the schedule they keep them on.
I find the animals are more active when its cooler.
