I went in 2015 to see The Art of the Brick. I got to the museum at 11 am. I'm the kind of person who likes to wander and take their time. I walked around a bit, ate lunch, and took my timed ticket to The Art of the Brick at 2 pm. Spent 2 hours in there, got out in time for a planetarium show, and left at 5 pm. I'm an adult in my 30s, but I never rush when I go somewhere. I like to take my time when I'm making a day of it. If you don't like to rush, make a day of seeing everything, but don't forget to climb the heart!!!!
Exploring the museum could easily keep you and your friends/family attention all day (9:30 am - 5:00 pm) leaving more to explore another day. Plus the exhibits change over time as well. Also, there is a cafeteria, with a wide variety of selections to choose from, at reasonable prices. This allowed us to save time and explore more.
I recently went for the Terracotta Warrior exhibit. Our party was 4 adults & 0 children. We went through exhibit & rest of museum. We did not visit the planaterium or IMax Theatre. We spent a little over 3 hours. With kids you could easily spend 4. If not seeing a special exhibit & doing just the museum with kids, I think 2-3 hrs. If you live in the area, or frequent visitor to Philly - highly recommend their membership. It's an excellent value, especially for families with children.
Can't really "do it all" in a day. Get a membership (same cost as 2 adults w/imax movie for the Clay Soldiers) & go back whenever you want! Just saw that exhibit, it was wonderful!
If you go for 2 to 3 hours you will get your money's worth! One of the best places in Philly!
It will take the entire day from open to close
The special exhibits should take about an hour to walk just thru them, depending on the exhibit. You can always call and ask
Allow at least 3 hours
It takes about 3 hours
I doubt you could see everything in 2 or 3 hours, maybe if you just quickly walk through. I just went and spent about 5 hours to go through every exhibit and read almost everything.
Without kids. A walk through and the newest exhibit 2 to 3 hrs.
To me it depends on what you would like to do there. And if I'm not mistaking you used to be able to take your own lunchs. And visit the instatuate . Me and my girlfriends did the JurassicWorld exhibit and it was a great time. It's great make a day for all the historical culture our city offers
2hrs at least
3 hours+
Depends on what you're looking for. To see everything, I took about two hours.
About 1.5-2hr., but you do not have to stay with a guide. You can use your cell phone on the exibuts
