That's definitely excessive- depending on the show, you could get there at doors, slightly after or slightly before. There's parking along the street (which is pretty scarce), but there are parking lots within short walking distance. Yale has one that becomes public after 5, I believe, right past toads (pass toads on the left, go through the intersection, lot is on the left).
My best advice is to get there about an hour(or more) before your concert begins. Parking here is pretty scarce as well, so being early is very helpful if you want to park anywhere close by!
