Beware of this Budget location. They will try and have you sign for the car without looking at it first saying trust them the car is fine! As an agent for the federal government I was surprised that they so blatantly used this tactic! Tried it with me but I demanded to see the vehicle first and of course multiple scratches, dents and other damage was noted! I also left my garage door opener in the car and the liar ALI told me it was not found! When my wife went back he suddenly had the opener and still refused to give it to her! I will never rent from them again and hope this review is a caveat emptor for anyone who may think of renting from this location! Budget is usually a good, dependable and honest company in my decades of dealing with them but this specific location at the New Haven train station is AWFUL!

Budget is asking for this: The guy at the New Haven Union Station was unbelievably rude. He did not help me finding the rental car, because it rained hard, he did not want to get wet! Do not go there!

Truly, from the bottom of my heart, the worst rental car place I’ve ever been. Remarkably rude, cursing customer service reps. Didn’t end of up getting the car I needed and had booked for months. Do NOT book here.

This Union Station Budget/Avis is great! I have used them several times and have been totally satisfied with their courteous and fast service. Highly recommended!
