West Haven, and East Haven have their own Housing Authority you would have to communicate with them to see if they are accepting applications for Housing or if they have their Wait List open for Section 8. Being that you are interested in that area. As of right now for New Haven Housing Authority we are only accepting applications for Elderly/or Disabled 1 bedrooms, 4-5 Bedrooms for families and we also have our Vawa Wait List open if you are in a Domestic Violence situation.. Also if you have been Displaced by Government action you would have to be referred by your caseworker... Hope this information can help you..

Unfortunately that's the usual situation with them. You can try sending a letter and hope she/he responds. Other than that you may have to go down there regardless and let the receptionist know that you've been trying to contact your worker and express the urgency of needing to speak with them or their supervisor.
