Is there any housing assistance available

The list for elderly/disabled is always open for efficiency and/or one bedroom but expect to wait forever. List is closed the last time I checked for 2+ bedrooms. I've been waiting for over 10 years now for placement for my son and I and still nothing although we are have been homeless more than housed over the past 10 years. My son is disabled and I have contacted HUD office in Hartford and was lied to about availability and have also tried reaching the director, the mayor (past and current), Rosa Delauro, and others. My son's clinician and doctors in addition to my doctors have also tried to reach them but it's useless. Unless you fall into domestic violence or lci you will not be housed and will just sit on their list indefinitely even if you're chronically homeless such as we are. Hth and you're probably better off trying other towns or another state if you're willing to relocate.
