I've seen about 10 concerts here and it's such a phenomenal venue. Located around a bunch of great restaurants and bars before you go to the show. The venue itself is incredibly well run. Excellent acoustics, and a great layout. The orchestra section has the chairs removed and they have tiered standing room instead which is brilliant because it ensures everyone can see the stage. I absolutely love this venue.

Don't bother getting seats in the lower 204/203 level (mid balcony rows) if you want decent views and minimal distractions. It's not high enough. Maybe part of it was just the crowd in particular, but people kept getting up NONSTOP to get beers, use the bathroom, leave...etc. Didn't matter if it was in the middle of the songs. Constant waves of people walking in front and blocking the view. In addition to that, so many people just couldn't be bothered to show up on time. Nearly half an hour after the headliner starts people are still coming in, standing in front wondering where they're supposed to sit... A combination of poor punctuality, inconsideration, and poor balcony design contributed to distractions that made the show a little more difficult to enjoy than it should've been. They really need to redesign the balcony seats. Boston's House Of Blues at least has the seats considerably higher past the walking area, so people can walk without getting in anyone's view. It also allows people to get up and dance in an area without blocking views. That's the way it should be done. Also, the crowd at the Boston was far more considerate and most people arrived on time. I sat down and got up only once.

Some concerts are standing room Tix on the main floor and dancing for sure. Some concerts have chairs on the main floor, but you can dance off to the side or rear of the room. The balcony is usually for sitting only, but again off to the side is OK.
Yes
There is not parking on the immediate premise, but it is right around the corner from the Temple Street parking garage.
No sure about age group. Probably depends on type of show.
East Haven and West Haven Motels are cheaper
Not to my knowledge.
Standing, there are levels so it's a great view no matter where you are.
6:00pm is the time listed online
The lodge seats we have had were in the lowest level of the balcony
I agree with the above, rows 1 to 5. The only caveat I would add is to avoid getting stuck behind a pillar or support column. It hasn't happened to me but it ruined the show for some friends of mine.
There isn't another show until April 3 which is the Black Angel's. There may be a rental event by Yale or something the 30.
Try the Air Rights Garage which is a short walk away, particularly if you're going to a popular show. It's so much easier getting out afterwards.
