It's really crowded on the weekends, so if you can squeeze in a trip during the week, you'll have a much more relaxing experience.
The water temp is always 72. ..people swim there year round. Beautiful area!!
I would suggest during warmer months, less crowded during the week, and also earlier in the day for the main spring as it gets shady after four.
Anytime, spring is good because the outside temp is similar to the water temp so the change isn't so drastic.

The hottest months, July or August. Arrive early, rangers cap the number of visitors in peak season to preserve the area as much as possible.
During the week is definitely the best. weekends are busy at the headspring, but the Blue Hole may get a lot of people but they don't stay long. Mostly just jump in and out. I prefer the Blue Hole always.
