You could join a league. I administer a Tuesday 50 years plus league. It's $10 a week, with it you get two free games each week. Shoes are free and any games over that are $3.25. For the $10 you get 5 games, or $2 a game.
A better deal, if you are going to bowl this summer, is to buy the "Summer Pass." I believe it is around $80 and it gives you 3 free games of bowling everyday with shoes free also! It's not valid after like 7 or 8pm (ask when you buy it.) If you go like 4 times it pays for itself! I bought two, so I can bowl up to 6 games every time I go. I use it a lot on the weekends or right after work before the time cutoff I mentioned.
It is free to go to the alley, you would pay for the bowling you do. The rates vary by day and time. I recommend reviewing their website as they often run specials, such as all you can bowl for a set price. Enjoy the lanes.
It is free to get in, but to bowl you can either pay by the game or by the hour. I'm not sure what the hourly rate is but I know it's about $7 a game plus about $5 for shoe rental
