Just like what Tee P stated in her post. They give you a voucher then every where you take it people don't accept it. The places that will take it are deep in the hood or the others that are not have waiting list, and so you are forced to have to get back on the list for housing again. It is a tedious process and they don't care. There is no one to talk to about it and you pretty much are just left out. While they collect their pay checks and live in their fancy houses. It's all politics. The government doesn't care about the people... it never has and never will.
They give people these section 8 vouchers to get there hopes up and then when u find out everyone out there turn there nose up and say no we dont accept those. Its a waste of time. Or you have to go on another waiting list. Smh
The voucher is not worth the paper its written on I recieved it twice within 4 yrs and each time it expired because no landlord will accept it. Section 8 has a bad rep with owners and they take 2 months before they will pay the owner after signing a lease which is the major reason why it's not accepted.
I'm from Wilmington, NC and I wanna know if Raleigh is absorbing for Section 8 (taking new people) @ this time. Looking to move @ the end of August.
How they do stuff is crazy
They scream funding but but we won’t see it just like East wood court That’s soon to be high end apartments I guess they will give us vouchers and which no one takes then we are out ! Really wish it was a group that would help ! Especially when ur only using this as a stepping stool
