This hospital has real diversity and morality issues. If you scroll through the reviews you will notice that patrons that are not caucasian, are treated differently. I worked here and had the unfortunate experience of being the only minority in a STAFF meeting for the trauma department and listened to 7 caucasian women crack jokes and laugh about the ku klux klan passing out flyers and putting them on mailboxes in Johnston County. I didn't find it funny. If I got into an accident in front of WakeMed I wouldn't go there. Lacking integrity and ethics. Update: No. I will not contact anyone at that email address. I reported all the unethical and illegal behaviors and you all did nothing.

I'am here now . As a woman of color I'am disgusted with how I have been approached and treated . Snappy , rude , and attitude-y staff . While other guest have been treated with proper care . Not good .

If you live close the hospital, you can walk in with the document & the letter they sent to you and the front desk will direct you to the appropriate office if not mail it to: Billing Dept Wakemed Hospital They will sort it out and Make sure to keep calling them to check until its resolved. I would go to a WakeMed Physician's Practice not the main hospital, it would be cheeper. The cost would depend on insurance. It also depends on what tests, ect. If you want to find out about self pay (no insurance), or what your copay (insurance) would be you can call and get a general idea.
