The front desk staff is very unfriendly. Now they want you to work 35 hours a week for 24 months before you can be approved for their Section 8 program. Trust me, their Section 8 is not all that. That's why some people in the past port out from Raleigh because they said Section 8 is way better in their home state. You can't get that much help in NC anyway. Especially if you don't have any kids.

To many bosses here. The residents are often the last ones to get what they need, at the end of the day

Just like what Tee P stated in her post. They give you a voucher then every where you take it people don't accept it. The places that will take it are deep in the hood or the others that are not have waiting list, and so you are forced to have to get back on the list for housing again. It is a tedious process and they don't care. There is no one to talk to about it and you pretty much are just left out. While they collect their pay checks and live in their fancy houses. It's all politics. The government doesn't care about the people... it never has and never will.
Good luck with using Section 8 for Raleigh...not many accept the housing vouchers anymore.
If you are asking in regards to visiting RHA offices, service animals are welcome to accompany you to the RHA offices. If you are asking about renting, once you rent an apartment, your lease will detail if there are any pet policies residents must comply with.

We have great weather. It does not get to cold in the winter. We get hurricanes but most are not that bad. We get a lot of flooding from any heavy downpour of rain. North Carolina weather differs in each area.

He has to fix it right away or you can report him or her
At this time Section 8 is not affected by the shut down. If recipients we're to experience any change they'd be notified.
When you go yo RHA web you look under leasing section 8 is another term for leasing program vs public housing
Based on your income, you will generally pay between 30-40%.
Either travel there yourself or find someone who lives nearby to do it for you and then mail you the application. When you get the assistance you have to go there in person to complete the paperwork.
