We went to see Beethoven’s 5th, and while I enjoyed the performance tremendously, I did not not like the drop screen over the piano. It was very distracting from the music itself. Are people that ADD these days?

I enjoyed the screen over the piano showing the pianist play so masterfully.

I have not had that experience, but I did not see Beethoven, I saw the Lion King and it was wonderful!

I'm not sure what you're talking about. I have set up the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra many, many times over the years, and we almost never put anything around a piano that is being used, unless it will be played very loudly, very close to other musicians, and then we use clear plexiglass shields like you sometimes see around drum sets. If there was some sort of noticeable screen around the piano, then it was almost certainly something done at the request of a guest musician, and we always try to make them feel comfortable so they will give their best performance. Please come back, I'm sure you will see one of the three grand pianos that we take excellent care of and shine up real nice before the shows!
