Yes, I agree about taking a light. Also, plenty of water. I usually carry a first aid kit, too. Tonight should be great for stargazing so if you have a good pair of compact binoculars the moon will be almost full. You might even be able to hear the concert from Red Butte Garden tonight also. Very fun and romantic for the young at heart.

Yes! Take a headlamp or flashlight too! You will need it if you want to watch the whole sunset before heading back down the trail. The view of the stars and cityscape is nice after the sun sets!
