Wonderful way to see the entire valley North, East, West and South! There are many trails that take off from the main path, in other words, there are considerable options. Take lots of water, wear good shoes for hiking and go early in the day, unless it's a cooler day. There is typically a good amount of wind if you choose to go higher in the hills. Also, be very aware of rattle snakes, and there have been badgers, bears and cougars. The hills look very inviting BUT, looks are deceptive, many trails are quite steep, walking/hiking poles are great to have!
