Is there any place near the pier to rent a pole to fish with and equipment

Not that I am aware of, but there at the coffee shop you can buy crab cages

The Rusty Hook bait and tackle is located a block away from the pier, they have poles to purchase, i dont know if they rent. May I suggest purchasing an inexpensive pole and reel combo at walmart or big5 and maybe donate it to one of the less fortunate fishing on the pier?

there may be some shops, the little cafe on the pier has bait and traps :) but i didnt see any poles...
