If married no problem just bring proof! If you're not married you're in the same boat as I am get there very early I think it's 7 in the morning they will give you a referral to another place and downtown which my boyfriend and I did at the same time the second group of people will give you a money order for $35 for you too then go to a third place in Manhattan to register as domestic partners that way you can be put in a room together rather than its separate places otherwise you could be split up in one shelter or actually sent to two different shelters. For just couples, there are no specific programs for that; unless, the couples are married, then they can try to get help with AFIC, for families without children.
I believe that they have programs for couples and families.
They allow men and women to to go in the shelter long stay a couple they never mix with the general population I just don't know if they stay there or do they send them out to a couple shelter
You can either be married or you can have a partnership which will allow you and your spouse can go into the shelter together
Unless you to are married and can produce evidence of so. Then their is no couples program
