I know it is a great miracle for the homeless to get sheltered. Even though there is a problem among the staff you don't need to mention it rather find a way to find a job and change your life. God bless America.

Yes and when they give attention to the ones doing the right thing it's only to criticize or discriminate.
Do your own apartment hunting and then get him involved, at the lease agreement and so forth,
Maybe all the clients can work together to get something done.
Yes please info
No. You should find a street homeless person to donate the toliet paper to.
No the shelter cannot force your daughter to work or go to a program. She must provide proof of her SSI benefits and her physical and mental ailments in medical documentation from licensed physicians and psychologist/psychiatrists.
No they cannot, maybe the DHS POLICE, BUT NOT THE CONTRACTED GUARDS
I pray you received the help you and your mom so desperately need.🙏🙏
Take themn to court
I'd like to know the answer to this as well. Maybe you could try suing them for money if they're violating a judge's order or your rights.
Call 311 they can help you out
Call 311. I had our LINC voucher mailed out in less than 10 minutes.
One can definitely come to their corporate offices at 33 beaver street and make a complaint
Get an attorney immediately
Yes. If you are a single Male applying for shelter support, you will be placed in a Single Mens facility. If you are a single Male with a child, you will be placed in a families with child facility.

Is this a joke a riddle?
You will need to show proof of domestic partnership but could go to most adult family shelters
Is that a single site or fwc
You would only be allowed to enter as a couple if there is a child under the age of 18 that will also be residing with you, or if you are pregnant. From there you guys will be placed in a family shelter. Otherwise DHS will separate you two and place you guys in a single men's and single women's shelter. Placement in a shelter is based on availability, and so if there is no child involved, this is the likely outcome. Please get in contact with PATH, located in the Bronx to discuss your rehousing options.
call 311 am supposed to been out and becauae of bad paper work they done am still here and i already have a vouchee but i went out and got my own apartment
Call 311 and they will provide guidance on how to proceed
Okay thank you
Yes couples can seek housing at PATH, if someone is pregnant their intake will be done as Families with Children if not then as an Adult Family as long as both members are over 21.
Wrong, they will be allowed into couple's housing but will be giving a future appointment time with NOVA.
Home Base is a great resource to support families with linkages to appropriate services.
You need to take to the shelter staff and explain to them the situation and see of they will give you a pass. I hope it works out
Hi Carnell, the curfew is intended to ensure that those who need a bed have a bed. If you or anyone you know is in shelter and work or have some other extenuating circumstance that would require them to be out beyond the curfew then they can communicate with their case manager and provide proof of that need. It's not perfect of course but the reality is that we have very limited space in shelter and we are trying to provide beds for over 60,000 New Yorkers in site need of housing.
I've been waiting for close to two months waiting for checks from DHS to pay my new landlord. I have the SOTA program. Its all up to when the lazy and useless DHS workers feel like working on your case,
Yup. Auburn place steals stuff when they pack people up.
If you didn't sign the log book daily, they will see it as a curfew violation. Ask to speak to your case manager and see if there is anything that can be done. Make sure, even if you stay in all day to come down and sign the log book
Well you can go to path in the Bronx which is a family assessment center and they will place you in a shelter, submit proof of the work being done and that you will be able to return once the renovations are done.
Shower and sleep is the basic purpose of all shelters. There are a number of shelters in Brooklyn. But if you've never been in a NYC shelter before then you have to go through intake on 30th Street at 1st Avenue in Manhattan. It's the old Bellevue building. Ask them to assign you to a shelter in Brooklyn.
You can ask tge case worker if its less than 48 hours you should be ok
The person is sitting in shelter unnecessarily as they have a way to pay for housing. This person is to call and have their section 8 transferred to NYC. It can then be used to obtain an apt.
You have to go to an intake shelter
Not only if they have children together. If they are not separated.
