Lenox family shelter is a very amazing place serving underserved families and their children providing very wide varieties of services starting from shelter, food, clothing and employment resources.

I was admitted into the hospital and during my stay at the hospital my partner was transferred over to this shelter so that we could be closer to our doctors appointments and hospital for when it was time for me to give birth. On his first day here he’s seen roaches in the unit and they haven’t done anything about it and nobody is helpful when it comes to us getting our voucher. It’s been a month since we’ve been transferred to this shelter and there has been no progress in regards to the housing specialist helping us get the voucher. He doesn’t answer calls or emails and our case manager isn’t much help either. There’s a small mini fridge that can barely fit anything and i have to use the fridge to either store my breast milk for my baby or food. I was first told that we would get another fridge just to turn around to be told i had to contact a supervisor that didn’t even reach back out to me via email and then was told by our case manager that they wouldn’t be able to give us another one. This wouldn’t be a problem if they just gave us regular size fridges but i kept getting the run around. It’s sad that i have to reach out to a legal aid society for them to get things done for us, we could only do our part but they aren’t assisting us and don’t seem to care how long we stay here. They ask if we need anything just to not get back to us when we do need things, the system is really messed up and I can’t wait to leave this place, i also doubt that they clean or disinfect the rooms before putting a new family in the units. Roach infested and horrible workers down to the shelter administrator

Currently in this shelter , the shelter staff is great , the units are durable , also no mice or roaches , they help you find jobs help you enroll back into school , haven’t experienced any problems .

How can you not check in someone who was staying at the shelter he was last seen on 9/20/20 (Sunday ) died on Wednesday 9/23/20 (Wednesday) and wasn't discovered until Monday 9/28/20 unreal and there was multiple calls made to you about him having a drug problem and nobody would do a wellness check smh

You have to really be on top of them. I can’t speak for all case managers but my case manager is lazy and doesn’t do her part on her end. She only cares about getting her check and going home
No they do not. You won’t be separated if legally married. When a child is in the picture, everything changes your outcome for the better. (From my experience)
Hi London. In order to get into the Lennox Family Center you have to go through the DHS as a family. There is no guarantee that you'll be placed at this specific location.
