Humble yourself , the shelter is there to help you help yourself . Alot of people think that the shelter worker's are supposed to do everything for them, they are there to give you information, that YOU must apply.
As far as I know u can't request a specific shelter, u pretty much go where they send u. If ur having problems there you can request a transfer but there's no telling where you'll end up. Good luck...
