No it was paved, tent camping still exists. Over the years Santa Barbara County updated the place. But it is still same, quiet and great family place. One road in , one road out.
What happened? No answers needed? Ok, its still dirt.
Beautiful as can be. Paved roads and some campsights have concrete driveways and only a few spots have electricity no sewage , but there is water there that you can fill up your coach. Web page for Jalama is SB County beaches , go down to where it says Jalamal and you could see all the campsites
The only change, for the worse, is oil deposits on the beach. I wouldn't swim in the water
Road is narrow but paved. Tent and RV camping. There are also cabins to rent.
not true about electricity...... all rv spots have power and water
Jalama is the place to be. As long as wind doesn't bother you too much. It gets super windy.
