A great pad. Falcon 9 rockets are the only rocket that can currently launch from SLC-4E, however it can perform an impressive RTLS (Return to Landing Site) landing with triple sonic booms on Landing Zone 4 just a few hundred feet aside from the pad.

Its a military airbase, no civilians allowed. Not recommended for tourists to visit at all. Some people watch some launches there but you must know when they launch.

West of umbra road near golf course
The closest public road, W Ocean Ave, will be closed for the launch. The barricade there is probably the best you'll do without base access.
