I’m disabled taking care of my 5 grandkids with no transportation and no food. I apply for food stamps but they said it can take up to 30days for the worker so it’s still in pending. Is there any help in Charlotte where someone can help with food?

Urban ministries serves lunch every day and can give you a referral to the Loaves and Fishes food pantry, which has numerous locations and you can go to the one nearest you. Good luck.

You can also call the DSS worker and ask for expedited food stamps..they also have a onsite food pantry

Yes the urban ministry center is near the crisis center and you can ask either place you want for a list of places and churches that offer food bank assistance

Thank you both. Problem with that I don’t have transportation and I’m not able to walk far. Is there a place in Charlotte that will help with bringing food to us or is there a number I can call to get assistance
