Rail trail is open all year.. main fire roads are always open for walking, hike, hunting.. only closed to cars, horses and bikes in muddy season. Signs are posted when horses and bikes are not allowed. Muddy season.

I'm there tight now and not sure if there's a formal announcement. But, I've gone on a few in recent days and they've been pretty free of snow n mud. In fact,, the rail trail itself is more prone to mud n ice now than the informal trails. Winter is over.
