I gave this this park a 4 but the cypress view side is a 5 and well worth the extra money. The road in and out of the lakeshore side is so bad that people have resorted to using the sides of the roads to get by therefore it gets a three even though the rest of the lakeshore campground seems nice. All in all we had a great time. The nature trails were full of wildlife and scenic views. Deer were foraging on all three of the hiking trails. Unfortunately the deer flies and gnats were a nuisance on the bike trail. There are trails all over the park and along the water that aren't on the trail map. Most of the banks along the lake are very steep which can provide great views of the lake especially the cypress forest in the distance but also limits access to the water. There is no official designated swimming area but there are several areas to swim at your own risk including a larger sandy area on the cypress view side of the park. The water can get deep fast though. We didn't see any alligators but there are lots of signs posted warning of their presence including all over an area that clearly was once their designated swimming area on the day use side. The visitor center is very nice as is the tackle shop. Everybody was super friendly and helpful. I must add that a Santee thunder and lightning storm is a spectacular event all by itself.

There isn't a pool, but you can swim in the lake. If you're not camping you can purchase a day pass. I believe it's around $3
is grilling allowed at the park?
Great place to get away and to fish sure thing
Yes, with hot water but no soap. No soap to wash your hands with either, but the bathrooms are cleaned daily so they’re pretty clean.
I have seen bigger ones and water moccasins. Please stay out of the water.
Any one with a valid fishing license or a child with a licensed adult
No adapter needed.. There is a regular outlet next to the 30 amp
You'll need to call the office. Price depends on time of year and holidays and events.
Yes, but its best to get online and see which spots are available for your chosen day. Most spots, of reserved, will have placards on them with the family name and dates.
Santee state park is on lake Marion. It's nowhere near Conway. Check with someone at a locale bait shop in Conway. An additional thought, it may be connected to Santee Cooper electric.
Yes. You can.
They have their cabins booked ahead so you have to go and reserve them I was up there about 2 months ago and was told they go for 150.00 a night, and they stay pretty booked. So I would check into it .Just give them a call so you can go have your night in the cabin on the water.
Yes

Since I been going. I've never seen any horses on trails or signs saying that there are. That's not exactly something available to visitors by the park. Bikes on the trail, definitely. Animals like your pets yes. You may have to find farms and ranches close by that actually let you get on horses but unless you to pay a fine for violating a law by bringing horses in the park, I wouldn't bring them. There are places close by though
Very nice place there, faculty is very helpful and friendly
They have different size cabins my family stayed in 6 person was real nice
All are 2 bedroom with a futon. All queen beds. Off-season about $90 a night, during season about $150 a night, and there are minm nights you can rent. We try to go in on a Friday night and leave Sunday morning. Check out at 10am
Rates vary by season and cabins starting at $74 & up
Yes they do and their really nice and affordable
I'm sorry, I have been there but didn't have a camper so I can't answer that.
14 days per site....rented on a daily price....max consecutive days allowed in any state park is 42....must move sites every 14 days
The website lists Each site and what is available at the site such as electricity and what amps, water sewer.... You may also pull up the map of site to see your local innthe campground and its proximity to things like restrooms. I believe they all have electricity however I would make sure it is listed on whatever site you pick before booking
There are gators in the lake, but I've only seen them on the backside, back in the swamp
I would call them and find out
No they don't, but there is a dump Station. Beautiful park.
It is home to a big fishing tournament.
There are some good creeks to the right of the store. Good fishing there. Enjoy.
Yes not sure of the price
Not really sure, but you could probably contact the park for a more precise answer to your inquiry.
There are some grills and tables just by the parking lot, close to the pier with the villas on.
One quick call to the gift shop and you'll know for sure!
Not sure, call them or check their website. It has been awhile since I have been there.
From what ive read. It says they have to be stickered and insured with a driver with valid license. And have to stick on the camping paved area. Basically not on the main road coming in and not on the trails.
150.00 per day
Call now. They get booked. Nice place. We enjoyed the trails.
Just canoes & kayaks. The only other boat rental I know of is thru guided tour services.
