A great place to see Crystal River, learn some native Indian history, and enjoy nature! Don't worry about sharks or alligators, just don't forget the bug spray!
As far as I know every other Saturday where you can access your vehicle with a boat so I'm sure your child would be fine if you can get in with your vehicle LOL I'm sure
The best place I found to launch your kayak from is the Crystal River Cove trail. It's pretty easy to paddle back. And it's a good place to park your car too.
Is it free? To visit this place? Please let me know! Thank you.

No admission cost. The Preserve visitor center has no parking fee, nor the Ecowalk trailhead, or the Churchhouse Hammock trailhead. IDK where you think there is a fee.
We own a moto home which we keep at our home in Crystal River. We are planning a trip over the holidays and we need to find somewhere to empty our holding tank. Is there a dump station at the state park, and would we be able to use it on Friday ?
No they don't. Always call these places and ask them and not assume this is their site. This is Google Maps ratings site. Information is given by visitors to parks or businesses. Most places do not monitor these pages. When you Google the places there site link is next to the Phone number.
You could but it is not a small river and boat traffic is not light. Most kayak or boat the river for fishing or outlet to Gulf. The tributaries could be drafted to the many springs but the river is probably best left to boaters.
