Well right now it is peaceful. Hardly any tubers. After Memorial day it gets crazy. Around 3,000 tubers a day. Week days are always peaceful. Silver river Silver Springs State Park has no tubers but lots of boats & kayaks. The Withlachoohee river off of hwy 200 is alway very peaceful. There is a bost ramp just down the Street from Stumpnocker
I recommend going during the week if at all possible. The weekend tends to be busier. Of going on the weekend go early.
The river is almost in season. It will get crowded but earlier the better and most are respectful to boards and boats.
It can be busy but the current tends to keep them collected to one side over the other. You being able to paddle won't have any trouble navigating around them. However, if you're going for a peaceful trip down the river then you need to go really early because they are incredibly loud.
Not at all! Go for it.
