Need to show up, identify an animal, and go through the interview process with one of their fine employees.
i am looking to adopt poodle puppies
Go visit the shelter. Bring ID with home address. If you are a renter, make sure you have proof that your lease allows you to have a dog (and any weight or breed rules). Congrats if you adopt! Your drivers license should have your current address. Also be prepared to share your work schedule and other members of the family. These are some things that may be asked. I heartily recommend The Anti Cruelty society on LaSalle and also Chicago Canine Rescue on NW side of Chicago
Thank u
There are a couple of places to look. https://anticruelty.org/adopt-a-new-companion/adoption-information/ This is a good place to start. It explains a lot. There is an adoption questionnaire to download. You have to be 18. Have a valid ID. $150 to 250 for dogs. Or make it easy. Call them. Tell them you want a puppy. They will listen. And direct you to the best place for you.
