How much does it cost to drop off a dog and what. Do i need to do?? I have a beautiful 3 year old pitbull. Unfortunately i cant keep him. I have tried to find. Him a home but with no luck. Please let me know asap

Thank you for contacting us. A shelter (any shelter) should be a LAST RESORT for your pet. Please check with family, friends, co-workers and neighbors before bringing your pet into a shelter. As was mentioned below, large dogs are harder to place than smaller breeds. Please note, that we do not accept any pets from outside of Broward County. Additionally, since this is your own pet, we recommend that you take him to the Humane Society of Broward County on Griffin Road.

Did you try a rescue first? There are so many and most of the time any country facility is a death sentence for large dogs, especially pit bulls. I had several pitties myself and love them. Hate the bad rep some have given them. Ours was just a big lap dog. There is a pitbull rescue in Palatka, FL called Mike's Dog House. There are several others if you search on FB or google.

just go there during hours of operation and they will take of it. they wont charge you but you can give a donation or food for the dog etc. hope this helps

They only need you live in Broward and you must to show a valid ID with address in Broward county. About charges I think dont need to pay nothing
