Thanks for thinking about adopting a pet! By doing so you will be making a HUGE difference in the life of a dog or cat in need. To adopt from us, simply select the pet you wish to adopt, complete an Adoption Application and have a current photo ID, such as a driver's license. Adoption fees are waived and include spaying/neutering; all necessary vaccinations; a microchip and a Broward County registration license tag. Our Adoption Center is located at 2400 SW 42nd Street in Fort Lauderdale. We are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11AM to 6PM. We hope to see you soon!

At the Broward County Animal Shelter there is a small fee for adoption. (Sometimes fees are waived for large dogs, check the website)This fee covers vaccinations, and spay/neutering. Also a well visit at a specified vet. You will probably need some kind of proof that animals are permitted at your apartment if you are a renter. You will have to fill out an application. It's also good to bring a collar and leash when you pick up your dog

Just make sure the dog you get from them is not aggressive I got one from then that on January 21 turn aggressive bit me and my dog costing me a lot of money in surgery for my dog and they didn't say at least I'm sorry. Beware of dogs there.

An application with proof of income and your rental agreement stating that pets are allowed and a proper pet carrier for the pet to travel to it's new home.. You must be in agreement with the importance of spaying and neutering and allow the facility to perform the procedure for the pet.. A small fee for the vaccinations and the surgical procedure..! If you really want to be a responsible pet owner this will prove it to the Humane Society and they will be happy to help you with your new family member !
