Hi, the time it takes for you to receive it is actually about 5 days. That time counts from when you apply to the embassy and get accepted
Normally it is a 3 buisness day wait. You can also pay extra for same day. Just remember if you are flying into Vietnam then going to another country that if you picked single entry you wont be able to enter Vietnam again to fly back to the US. You will have to reapply at the airport and wait for them to process a new visa.
I got a single entry one month tourist visa a few weeks ago. Turn around time is about 3 days. Dropped it off on a Monday and picked it up on Thursday the same week. I think they do same day processing for a added cost.
