You can wait outside after you check in and they will let you know when the doctor is ready for you. But it's important for your dog that you are calm. It seems you are already nervous and your dog will feed off of your energy. Try to be calm and it will help him.
Only one entrance and you do have too wait. Comforting him is a great suggestion.
No buddy, unfortunately you have to be able to keep your dog cool. They get a little nervous when they first arrive but if you sit by him/ her and comfort them, the nervousness wares off after about 20 minutes. Every dog is different so take that with consideration of your personal knowledge of your dog and try to comfort. It'll be ok, I promise. They are very professional and even more importantly, caring!
