Call 211 first and tell them your situation...that will get the entire process started! As far as the bed rest sotuation...you are going to need a whole lot of proof & a prayer...there didnt seem to be any ryhme or reason to how they decide if you are allowed to stay during the day...plus, you are going to need to be out trying to find a place as quickly as possible...i wld start looking for a landlord that will accept payments from the shelter/gov assistance/salvation army/ect before you even step foot in the shelter...because they only give you a certain amount of days to get your housing situated...i personally had 28 days to successfully find a place to live...and then it took a few weeks to get the paperwork sorted. Also, both Myself&My Father brought in a lot of paperwork from our docs stating that we shldnt even sit/stand up longer than 10min intervals...and they did not allow us to stay ...so, I think it all depends on Which shelter they assign you to. Good Luck💖👌🙏
First you need to call the homeless hotline they will tell you when to go in. They will put you on the single side & you have to provide proof of your bedrest from your dr. on letterhead. You will get a case manager. I dont know how it works with finding an apartment because your supposed to do the leg work when it comes to finding your own apartment, however they will help you or lead you to someone who will help.
They'll put you on the single side. You need proof of your bed rest order from a doctor and they will let you stay I believe.
