I’m 18 years old with a 7 month old. How do I go about applying? What information do I need to bring & how long is the wait?

I underdtand it is faster to get in the family shelter than in the adult ones.

Call the shelter and they will give you the number to be placed of the waiting list. I'm sorry I don't remember the number. Have an I.d . and proof the child is yours or in your custody. The waiting time varies. You have to call every day. DONT MISS A CALL IN. You will have to start over. It moves pretty quick, but this time of year there are a lot trying to get in. Tell them you aren't in a safe place. They may get you in faster. Good luck and God bless.
