I applied in April it now end of Aug they are still not helping me and now when I call all lines are busy and it hangs up on you. I went there 3 times my landlord came from out of town to visit there office and they said just one more thing to him and to me about 3 times my landlord has given up and I told him that's what they want you to do so they don't have to help you. I still have no help and now I can't even get through on the phone. What Help???? Who are they helping?

Be prepared to wait months for assistance, if it arrives at all. I was told my application was “rather new” at almost 60 days old. Treated as a burden by staff when, which are likely not paid enough and are given too many responsibilities to be realistic, but this doesn’t excuse the passive attitudes for people looking for HELP from a community resource who offers it, advertises it, and receives funding for it. They offer no timelines, no updates, no information whatsoever - just to wait. Was told today to call back “when I got my eviction court date” - the goal should be to avoid that, yes? Horrific. Absolutely not the agency I thought they were - it’s disappointing, I truly believed I would get some relief.

I have given 3 stars because, in theory, IMPACT is a great thing. I wanted to give no stars because i have had an application in since april and they keep asking for updated information, which wouldnt be out of date had someone looked at my app more often than every other three weeks. You feel helpless when you get a "DAILY" update on the status of your application once a MONTH and when no one replies to their message box for weeks at a time. I understand that they are understaffed and mostly likely under paid but when you get a eviction notice and a shut off notice two months after you apply for help and you cant get hold of anyone because they phones always say circuits are busy and it hangs up on you, you feel sort of abandoned. if and when you apply, do not take for granted that things are getting done or that you have given them all they want. keep bothering them so they tell you if they need more sooner rather then letting you set for weeks before they tell you they need something else. it is really sad when you call AEP to apply for help for your bill and they send you to a web site for impact right after they have sent you a disconnect notice.

This place is a God sent for anyone who needs help through these tough times. I can say that they helped me more than any other program did in the Columbus Ohio area. They were nice if you had questions, even as busy as they are, and the application process was very easy to do. They processed it in a reasonable time & got it to my property manager fast enough to keep my family in our home. I very appreciative for everything they do.

Go to Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority
I get off at 3
The last day is March 31st, Make sure you take everything with you,or you won't get signed up in time ( I made that mistake when I forgot my W-2) and I was put behind by almost a month! Also you have to make an appointment I hope this helps!
I will let someone know
If you have no income they would ask you have someone to write a letter that they help you has little as possible
Just Google impact community action and the website will come up. Then just go through the motions to sign up for the assistance you are looking for.
get there early 630 700 get a number as a walk in or a afternoon appointmenter
If you get there early it depends on the number you get they do 25 people in the morning get there at 7:30 or earlier . The afternoon get there 12:15-12:20 to make sure you get in
I'm not sure, but, you could always go in at 7:55am and ask.
If she applied via online than she can screen shot you the application. I know that they are behind but calling impact directly and asking couldnt hurt! Hope this helps
They should have gotten to you by now. I'd go there and ask them
Do you help with back rent
Yes this is the correct address
I have been with out a job for 40 days and I need rental assistance will they help me with rent
Yes they r really good about helping when u need it. It's worth listening to em. What's it gonna hurt?!
Yes they are a great place for these type of resources. I encourage you to call early as possible in the morning the phone lines get full fast. Have great patience with the staff they are overworked and underpaid. and if they are unable to assist you at the set time make sure to ask for referrals or references to other agencies.
You have to call at 7:00am on the dot!! You have to keep trying everyday untill you get a opening!! They also have a walk-in service daily it takes about 3 hours but when you leave your bill is paid and it's a relief!! Well worth the wait!!
You have to talk with emergency assistance to help with that
Your best bet is to go there early in the morning approximately 8 a.m. and have a better chance of seeing someone to get an appointment or get your case handled
I dont think they help with this you could call 211 and ask them where can i get help from
Sometimes, mostly, rearely would they not, but anything is possible, its best to call, just in case.
Go to the one on Henderson Rd. They usually never have a wait. And you wont have to stand outside all night.
Definitely go down there. You'll get better assistance.
Not sure. I know u go down to health department
This agency is great for helping people and families get the assistance they need for living.
I’m sure they will help as long as they have funding and all of your paperwork is turned in for them to processing your application.
Yes but you will have to take a number or letter and wait and it could be long or short depending on the time of day .

Not really it takes as soon as possibly once the landlord comply with papers work for transactions they send the money within 3 days
Yes you have to log in to go back to your application also if you forgot your password or username you can change it by them sending you a verification code
I was over there yesterday for a meeing and the lady at front desk told me it's a lot if programs going on to help people
I couldn't find one on any of my paperwork
The can! Retirees need help to and of you're within the government guidelines then the help is there. If their not I would suggest it so of the community churches. Don't give up. Help is out there
I don't know I just went once
You take proof of past due rent 3day notice/eviction. Proof of income last 30days social and birth certificate for minors in house state ID. You can go early in the morning or at 1pm for walkin. It can be pretty time consuming so be sure that you have the entire day to commit.
IRS, turbotax, h&r block.
I can't answer that cause I went for utility bills. But from what I hear they make the pledge to the landlord when you go in if you have all your paperwork
No it's a little different, but I think it's faster.
Walk in and ask to speak to someone!! Phone line stays super busy
I would call first they answered my questions
Call them.
Go up to the impact program as a walk-in
Call and asked the person who helped you
They do fill up pretty quick. There are walk ins you'll just have to sit there an wait awhile. Pack a lunch. Try to get there early. Sign in let them your a walk in
You'll have to call. Alot of things has changed. Sorry
I'm currently staying at The YMCA Shelter and recently lost my job. My time is almost up and I need assistance with finding low income housing not shared living. I'm in The Rapid Housing Program and haven"t gotten the help I need at all. I'm currently searching for another job also.

They want birth certicates for each person and s.s. card. Or i.d. for anyone over 18. Got that. You're in!
Call the help desk and they will give you that information
It varies
Not Sure about That, Maybe it would best if You call Them and set up an private appointment with someone There. If not maybe They can put You in right direction.
Don't work for impact staff, but visit the center day off work or go early in morning," be first person.
To add To wat Neil said make sure u r there first thing in the morning so u can be seen early get there before 8am.
If your bill has a disconnection or termination notice they will call the electric or gas company which ever one you're needing help with to make sure that it doesn't get disconnected

Only if you have Section 8. The Job and family services does them for sure. PRC PROGRAM.

It's best to go in person

At this time of the year they are very very busy it is truly hard to get an appointment your best bet is to go there early in the morning before 9 a.m. and try to get an appointment then other than that you have to keep calling to get an appointment
Not for sure best thing is to go over there and find out. They great place with many links to different resources
They are very helpful there. Call and ask for info. They are always glad to talk & answr Qs.
