Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT send your child to this program. Staff are very unprofessional and just down right rude. They do not look out for your children, hey simply charge you $200 a week to “deal” with them. My son was bullied by another child in the program, and all I received was attitude and rudeness from anyone I spoke with. After catching one of the teachers yelling at my son and talking to him way out of line, I corrected her, well needless to say, within hours I received a call that they had decided my son could not return and they refuse to refund the tuition. As long as your okay with your child being talked to like an inconvenience, they are great! I would definitely suggest spending the few extra dollars a week to send your child to YMCA where they actually care about your child, not just tuition! Also FYI my child was bullied in the program, asked a teacher for help and she wouldn’t help him.

YWCA women's residency is not a shelter. It's independent living for women that have been homeless for 120 days or more, 18 or older and have a mental health case worker from southeast or North central.

Please call the homeless hotline 614-.274-2000 They will link you up to shelter. The YWCA Family Center is a family shelter meaning you must have at least one child in your household to qualify for our program. Van Buren shelter houses single women. The YWCA also has a womens residency program. It offers permanent supportive housing to single women with a diagnosed disabilty who are chronically homeless. I hope this helps.
