Natasha's information below is incorrect. You do not go through the homeless council for our shelter. You call our shelter directly. We are primarily single ladies, moms or dads with children, or married couples. Salvation Army is the only facility that takes men at this time. You can call 211 for a great resource to help you with any needs.
married couples are welcome at interfaith emergency services as well as salvation armybut you have to be married the best way to get in os through the homelessness council and they are also issuing housing voucher secrion8 as well as fup(family unification program if your in need cash dcf on yourself to obtain a caseworker to help establish housing
I was told they have a section for women-kids but boys must be under 14 then on the left by the showers they have an area for men, I was also told they are full and check Salvation Army . They also have a yard that you have to sign up to sleep at but the gates close at 9pm.Not sure if men only. I’ll be there tomorrow and will verify this information and update it if I’m told differently.
Women and children only men usually use Salvation Army
