So judgemental, but at least we get food!
Spencer Berggren
What a joke!!! Called ahead of time and they were open. I drove 20 miles 1 way got there at 11 30 and they were closed. Then waited until 1 for them to inform us the food pantry is closed because of the weather. You could of came out at noon when it started to thunder and tell us rather then make us wait ...so I'm out on gas and food. Such a shame...

@Dexter Brite. Were you moving from an upstairs apartment or donating the furniture? If you were moving, of course they aren't a moving company. Nor are they staffed or equipped for it. If you were donating your furniture, why not call someone like Annie Johnson who does that and have someone to move & pickup furniture? People, you can't expect God's angels to do everything for you. You must do some things for yourself. {phonebook, Google, etc.}

Hi Jessica, yes! The most convenient way for you to drop them off is at our Thrift Store donation alley at the south end of the building. It is a drive-through drop off and someone will come out and assist you. You can drop off Monday - Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. or on Saturdays before noon. Clothing donations are used for our free clothing boutique as well as our Thrift Store which raises money to assist people with their medication needs. Thank you for thinking of us!
Natasha's information below is incorrect. You do not go through the homeless council for our shelter. You call our shelter directly. We are primarily single ladies, moms or dads with children, or married couples. Salvation Army is the only facility that takes men at this time. You can call 211 for a great resource to help you with any needs.
There is also a soup kitchen on the campus that serves lunch every day at noon.
That's best answered by our shelter staff, which you can reach at 352-644-9200. We primarily take single ladies or families, based on availability. Please call to find out more. thank you!
Most of our regular social services are closed this week (thru 9/26). If you need food, you can still go to our warehouse to receive an emergency food box. Our Center for Life location remains open for emergency prescription assistance.
Hi Yoel, Yes, we can take someone into shelter with just a photo ID. However, entry to the shelter is contingent on bed availability. If you could call and speak to someone on our shelter team they can let you know if we have any available beds. You can also try the Salvation Army. They have more emergency beds than we do so they may have something available if we don't. Call 352-629-8868 extension 205 to speak to one of our shelter staff and they can give you more information. Best of luck to you.

Hi Kaiya. I'm sorry, unless it's a group project with adults, we cannot do anyone younger than 18 years old due to insurance. You can reach out to United Way for local available volunteer positions.
Hi Roland. I'm sorry we cannot help with that but we do offer other help. We have budgeting classes on the first Friday of the month (930am) which are really great! Also, you can get grocery assistance from us so that you can hopefully balance your food money towards more pressing items if needed. You can also call 211 for more assistance.

You can go to Inter Faith, Salvation Army, Brothers Keeper every other month, I believe. You can to Oak Griner Baptist Church once a month as well as Living Word (which is located just past 326 on Old Jax Rd [200A] in the old shopping center, catticorner and across the street from Journeys End Motel). Ask Interfaith for a list and they will give you one. Hope this helps

We are primarily a food pantry, but also help with hygiene. We have a free clothing boutique and offer emergency prescription assistance. I would suggest calling our office for more information. All services require a ID card and social security card. Please call 352-629-8868
I'm sorry we do not have funding for that. You can call our shelter at 352-629-8868 x207 to find out if you meet our criteria for our homeless shelter. Also, try 211 - as United Way may be able to assist with other referrals.
Hi Shane. Please call our shelter for more information at 352-629-8868 x207. We typically only help families with children because our family rooms are set up for 4. When you call, they can direct you to other options. We do have a shelter for women as well. Salvation Army is the only shelter for men. Hope this helps.
I'm sorry - we do not. You should call 211 to ask if any other agencies have funding.
Brother's Keeper Soup Kitchen will be serving lunch. They schedule their volunteers several weeks out I believe - you can call them at 622-3846 for more information.
Dear Cheryl, We sometimes have rent assistance available through a federal grant that we receive but that grant funding is currently over. We hope to get more funds in the future. We can, however, help with groceries. Just come to our main campus located at 435 NW 2nd Street with your Marion County photo ID and a social security card for ever person in your household (we give more food based on proof of the number of people). Hours are 9 a.m until 11 a.m. and then 1:00 until 3:30 p.m. Please call 211 to find out if there are any other local agencies that may currently have rent assistance. And for the record...we assist people whether or not they have children. :-)
They also help with medications, dental, eye care and more. Fantastic facility entirely funded by the people because of its faith. No federal grants

Yes, there is a vet that comes every other Wednesday that does minor check-ups and shots. He will be here June 13, 2018, and every other Wednesday after that.
Interfaith does not have a mens shelter. Salvation Army is the primary mens shelter for Marion County. I do not know the answer to the probation question. I would suggest calling Salvation Army or 211 for more information about that. Hope that's helpful.
Must be in there program. To get that assistance
Usually they do, if homeless they process it faster if u put it on the food stamps application
We have a time for devotions at 8:00 Monday - Friday and after devotions the dorms are locked until 3 in the afternoon. However if you are working a full-time job we will give you access to your room any time you need it. Saturday and Sunday residents are allowed to stay in the rooms all day.
It depends on the individual. Generally residents can stay up to 3 months. We can also help with deposits to get into housing.
Our shelter does assist with referrals to daycare facilities as part of our Case Management plan.
They stay together all the time
There shelter us dormitory style you have a room to sleep in and everything is shared

I don't know. I'm 72 so age not a factor. I would guess old enough to drive so you can get there.
Yes it is safe, as far as bugs go; they keep it clean.
Interfaith allows women and children
8:30 am til 11:00am and then again from 1pm til 4 pm
We actually do both. We have a free Clothing Boutique for those in need that is open Monday - Friday (435 NW 2nd Street, Ocala) that also includes dress clothes for work and church, as well as shoes. The nicer clothing that is donated typically goes to our Thrift Store (718 N Pine Ocala) to be sold at a reasonable cost. However, the proceeds from our Thrift Store help purchase medications for those in need - it's a win-win either way.
As far as I know! They help with going to the doctor prescriptions , stuff like that.
They do provide shelter but you'll have to discuss that with them in their main office Im sure theres requirements
Interfaith's Thrift Store does have a blessing barn with limited items that are available for free. Their address is 718 N Pine, Ocala.
We do not help with any type of utility assistance. Please call 211 for information about which agencies in Marion County have funding for utilities.
