depends on the breed of dog. a small breed of dog you shouldn't bring because of the various species of predatorial birds (and because of gators), larger breeds of dogs would be left alone by most animals, monkeys included. so if you have a large breed of dog then it should be fine, as long as he/she does not enter the water or stray too far from you.
You should be perfectly fine just follow previous comments. PLEASE do not under any circumstances allow you dog off leash no matter what or how safe you may think it is to do so. And please do not drop poop bags on the ground thinking you will pick them up later. Most owners don’t and it is becoming a big problem leading to more and more trail closures to animals.
