Found this place over a year ago. It has good hiking all the way around. There are 2 gators here that I know of, seen both in the lake, never out of it. They seem to be used to people though, they can get a little close. The park started charging for day use recently, but it is only $1.50. You scan a QR code to pay. There are benches, tree swings, picnic tables and a pavilion. No trash cans. And there is a camping area. They also recently closed the second entrance where you could park and go hike. Can only enter through main entrance now.

I don't quite get all of the good reviews for this place, it's okay at best. The park doesn't appear to be regularly maintained, as another reviewer mentioned there's garbage all over. The grass that is there hasn't been cut in quite some time. The pavilion is dirty. They charge a fee for parking here, though it's on an honor system, something I very much doubt anyone adheres to. There's a camping area there, but it was closed when I visited. It looks like they're adding some RV slots, but it also appear that they've been doing that for quite some time. It's a shame, this place could be so much better.

We absolutely loved Indian Lake State Forest. There was a couple bench swings hanging from trees that my wife enjoyed while I wondered around grabbing pictures.

This is one of our family’s favorite trails to hike in Ocala!

Yes but it is a small lake(pond) when water is low. Left side is more shallow to the right where trees are in water is deeper, gators hang there
I think so, there is a dog in the main photo on Google!
Yes but you can't get a boat in there, it all from the shore.
Go online to reserveamerica.com to make/ find out cost for reservations..
It does not state that you cannot swim but I wouldn't recommend it the water is very dark it's very shallow around the edges so you don't want to get no amoebas that's why I don't recommend it and yes there are alligators but they will not bother you it is a nice park but there is no play stuff for children to play on nice beautiful trails to walk through there is a pavilion if you'd like to throw a wedding or party there's camping nice quiet relaxing place
Yes, but you have to call and make the reservations
I see people fish there regularly.
No, just fishing
