Excellent boat tours and a beautiful, well upkept state park. Would definitely visit anytime I'm in the area. Kids loved it and were thrilled to see the fish, birds, turtles, and even an alligator! Well worth the value and would recommend for any age.

The captain was amazing and we got to see so many animals! Captain Sebastian and miss Becca were both so nice and helpful! very beautiful and informative tour!

Experience a walk back into modern history. This was previously the studio location for many a television show from ABC Studios. Many feature films were shot at this site. Now is a good time to walk back in the steps of many famous TV shows. Enjoy you boat ride and picnic lunch. The facilities were very clean and well maintained.

Gorgeous place. Boat tour was informative. Captain Oscar was a gem. Been driving the boat for 52 years. Lots of movie history here as well. Cold weather brought the manatees in. They were a sight.

Nancy, the 30 minute tour is $11 for adults, and $10 for seniors 55 and over and kids 6-12. Children 5 and under are free. Each boat can carry up to 26 passengers.
Kathy, You may see manatees in the Silver River on your tour. Generally the best months to see them are cold weather months, but this year February and March had the most sightings.
30 gets enough viewing in to enjoy. Especially when listening to someone giving the tourguide rambles. If you want to truly enjoy the waters in peace for longer, rent a canoe. :)
I would bring my service dog it is a pet friendly park I bring mine all the time
No reservation and it's open
We just walked in. I dont think there's reservation. The boat tour is every 30min so if u plan to take the 1st boat @ 10 get there early otherwise just wait for the next one @1030 like we did. It cost $15 & i think they charge $2 for the park. Come down & enjoy..its really beautiful
Mr Peabody and the Mermaid (1948), Tarzan and Creature from the Black Lagoon movies.
Yes I saw a troupe of them jumping from tree to tree. I saw gators, several species of birds, manatees, fish galore and our guide was terrific. He explained everything in detail. He pointed out all of the animals and sites. I highly recommend this trip.
Yes...
Yes they are the first boat the day is at 10 am and they run until 6pm with 30 minute tours every day weather permitting and the 90 minute extended tour on Friday Saturday and Sunday at 11am 1pm and 3pm
Virginia, currently the park is open 8AM-8PM. Our glass bottom boat tours operate from 10AM-6PM, however that changes seasonally.
Pets are allowed in the park, but only service animals may ride on the glass bottom boats or go into the restaurant.
Yes, they're absolutely still there! They may be harder to see because there are no longer any treats planted closer towards the river. I also wouldn't call them shy. They're wild, but they'll attack you. Fortunately if you keep to the areas your supposed to stay, you should be fine. All it takes is a tree to fall during "hot and dry" season and a few of them could leave the island. Technically ALL of them could. Maybe look up videos on YouTube. I'm sure there will be some from the last year. 👍🏼
Sam, park admission is $2 per person. Children under 6 are free.
No, but it's not hot at all inside and most of them have fan's to keep it cool 😎
Hello Maria, yes you can, but it must be a service dog, duly certified.
We were there last weekend. Boat tours are running at capacity however everything else is closed for renovations.
I was there last Monday December 14 2020, there were glass bottom boats running.
Their not doing the 90 minute tour but 30min tours are open and they are using all boats so the wait isn't bad at all.
Not sure, we went on the glass bottom boat ride which holds about 15
No manatees are not guaranteed. Depends on the weather/ season. They were seen a couple of weeks ago but they said that was very unusual for this time of year. But, it is still worth going.
If you can't handle the heat, go when it's not hot. Seems simple enough.
Isaiah, we accept debit card, cash, and all major credit cards. There is also an ATM in the gift shop.
There's a couple of picnic tables with games like checkers, a frog slide, nature trail, hopscotch game with stepping stones. My my kids are 1 1/2 and 3 years old. They loved the boat ride (couldn't take their eyes off the glass bottom) and my son stayed on the slide while my daughter did hopscotch. We were there for about 3 hours after the boat ride either walking the short nature trail or playing with the toys/games. We didn't have time to go in the gift shop
Daytime
Yes, two dollars admission but plenty of free parking and don't miss the ice cream
They have them, but we rented one in October last year and they were scratched. I wouldn't rent again.
All of the glass bottomed tour boats use electric motors. I'm not sure of the horse power but they carry 20 people plus captain/guide along at a pretty good clip between the features they show you. Then they circle around slowly so you can see the springs, gators, birds, fish, etc.
