It's beautiful! But you can only drive up a small fraction of the main road. They block the rest off for the winter.
Are there. Houes there
Like others have said they close certain roads during winter. I enjoy rmnp very much during the winter. I went just 2 weeks ago and seen many animals, and the snow play area was nice to visit.
Yes! RMNP is gorgeous in winter. Be prepared though, make sure you have warm enough clothing, traction if needed, and be aware of your surroundings/conditions. Estes Park Mountain Shop has REALLY affordable rentals if needed. Always check the weather conditions and trail conditions. You can find that on RMNP's website. :) Some roads may also be closed, so just do your research. Best of luck!
Absolutely, just check the weather condition before you come up and bring lots of layers. There are still plenty of places to hike and snowshoe even with trail ridge road closed.
Although most of the road is closed, you can snowmobile in and see some huge elk.
Very cool to see in the winter, but a portion the road connecting the east side to the West side of the park is closed.
